Tonight was definitely a chili night. So I made some!
2 medium onions
3 cloves garlic
2 T vegetable oil
1/2 cup chili powder
1 can red kidney beans
1 can black beans
12 meatless meatballs
1 T Tabasco chipotle sauce
1 large can crushed tomatoes
2 T molasses
2 T honey
salt and pepper for seasoning
1 bay leaves
Sweat/saute the onions and garlic in the oil.
Add some of the chili powder and a little salt and pepper and continue to sweat.
Wash the beans, and add them to the mix. Add a little more chili powder.
Crush up and mix in the meatballs, and add the chipotle sauce.
Add the crushed tomatoes, and use about half a can of water to rinse out the can and add that to the mix.
Simmer the chili, add the molasses and honey, and add in two bay leaves.
Chili is ready when the bay leaves are flexible, be sure to take them out!
